And... We're back!

Long time no read (or write in my case) I'd like to say I've had a busy adventurous summer but that would be lying, I have however watched lots of films and TV shows - like the good student I am. I also have changed up my blog a bit, changed the background and the theme and colours and font, okay I've changed it more than just a 'bit' but I like this a lot more and the background is from filming Luggage in Limbo!

This week marked the start of the new college year and my last year! I can't believe I will be setting off to uni and going into the big scary real world soon (much too soon) but before that can happen I still have lots of learning left including documentaries and multi camera projects! I'm really looking forward to this year, I know it will be hard work but I'm certain it will pay off. On Thursday the class was reunited in our class room and we all sat in the exact same seats as last year and caught up and yet it felt like the past 10 weeks off for summer didn't happen. 

After looking at what this year will entail we photographed the first and second year acting students, this was so that we had the photos right from the start so we knew exactly what we were working with, after all this industry is based on looks. It will help us when we start projects to know what actors look like for possible character roles however it does not help with knowing what each actor is like when acting; something I learnt last year when filming was some actors are great for stage and some for screen and some put in more enthusiasm and preparation towards a role (read: some learn the lines BEFORE coming to set, not all do). The first year actors look like a great bunch of people and I'm sure they will be a pleasure to work with. I will no doubt come back to this post in a couple months time and regret writing that. 

We finished off the first day back by going to a trampoline park when we all had a great, sweaty time. I even beat Taylor on the battle beam - which he will continue saying didn't happen. 

As much as I know this year will be hard work and stressful especially when you factor in applying to universities (or in my case just trying to pick universities) I cannot wait! I had so much fun last year despite the hard work and stress.
