A dream job would be something that pays a great deal of money and allows someone to take numerous holidays to exotic places. Isn't that everyone's dream?!
But not mine, my dream job is not about the money (but I wouldn't object of course) or about winning awards, no one goes into the industry or makes a film knowing that it will win them an award otherwise awards would become meaning less. People go into the film industry because they have a passion for making films whether they do it to change a view on the world or just for pure entertainment. And that's me. In the film industry you have the ability do to anything, you can make a film on whatever interests you because with 7 billion people on this planet there will definitely be other people with the same interests as you.
My dream job would be to have a production company, with a hit TV show, it doesn't have to go on forever because some of the best shows only have a few seasons but I want to know that more people chose to tune into my TV show than all the others on air at that time. I want to have an IMDB page and an accurate Wikipedia page, I want to have a job that proves to everyone who has tried to stop me that I can do it! I want a job that makes my family proud of me but most importantly makes me proud of me .
It's still early in the course so I don't really know whether this will be the job I end up with, I haven't focused on the other areas enough to know whether I'm actually better at directing than script writing or I surprise myself and enjoy editing. Right now I don't know, but I can't wait to find out.
