I had started editing James Bond at college and therefore decided to keep that as what I would edit at college as the Premiere Pro I have at home is a newer version therefore the file and project would have to be updated and changed slightly which could affect the work I'd done if the newer software has different settings; it would also mean I could not open this and edit at college. I edited the Hunger Games first as of the 3 videos it's my favourite therefore when I had finished my first draft I then started editing this video which was not easy.
There were 41 clips therefore it was important for me to write an edit decision list (which is in my folder), this made editing slightly easier and allowed me to have a look at what I've got to work with. It was at this point I identified that a number of clips didn't have any sound at all, which although there was no dialogue sound was still needed for the atmosphere and to hear the click of the gun and footsteps. Another problem was that the wind was very bad and noticeable on shots as the wind cover was not used on the boom, the dialogue from Harry was picked up well as I remember we waited for the wind to die down as much as possible before filming but the other dialogue and noise is affected.
I started placing the clips on the timeline using the video I am copying from, I added an extra shot beforehand to show Harry firing some shots but then used the video to write the shot list. It was at this point where I noticed some shots were missing, these were transition shots such as the killer sitting up on the floor after being shot and a shot of the hostage of running away. I am sure I can edit around this using cutaways but it may not flow as well or be an exact copy of the scene.
Another issue I recognised was the framing on one shot, it is a wide shot of the killer reaching for the gun, the gun is barely in frame which is annoying because it's all about the killer reaching for the gun.
I edited all the video together but I still need to edit the audio and the ending to include the Ufilms logo and Nerf logo.
