I am very well rounded when it comes to skills, I can accomplish all areas of production to a high standard but there are things I enjoy more and feel more confident in, these are: pre-production planning, paperwork and scheduling, on-set Assistant Director, Director and editing. I would be happy to be a boom operator but would not say I was as strong in this roles as others. I would not choose to be a DOP or sole camera operator as I don't feel as confident and would not want my lack of confidence to affect a person's film.
Crew skills
I chose the crew based on the skills and area they excel in; it is known that Matty is the best DOP and camera operator we have so I knew if I wanted him I would have to ask quick before we agreed to other projects.
Kane is an incredible director, I think this comes from his experience as an actor and I know that he works very well with Matty and can trust him to run a successful shoot, with both the crew and actors.
Danniella is similar to myself in our abilities, she is very good at pre-prod and on-set paperwork which is why I have chosen for her to be an Assistant Director, she works well with the others and will make sure the director has everything they need.
I will be present on-set during all shoots to make sure things are going to plan and how I want them to go. I will also edit the videos which may be with the assistance of Taylor, who is a very good and strong editor.
