After a relaxing 2 weeks off from college and college work it's time to buckle down and start working again, truth be told by the last week before Christmas was not a very productive one but now it's time to get my advert and script finished. Over the 2 weeks I edited my audio for my Christmas advert, the song I have chosen is a cover of Every Little Thing She Does is Magic, I believed that only the chorus is relevant to my advert therefore I removed the vocals from song leaving the chorus to be heard at the end of the minute. I did this through editing software Audacity, the sound is not perfect but it is what I want. I imported my audio into Premiere Pro and started working, I used my storyboards as reference to the sequence of events. I have completed most of my editing with only fine details needed and effects to be added.

Today I focussed more on my script writing, after receiving feedback from my teacher and a peer I started to work on my improvements which included rewriting the last scene. My original last scene was not filmable with the resources we have, I also had a few spelling and grammar mistakes that I needed to fix. I was very pleased about the feedback I was given and I feel much more confident about the script I have written. As well, I continued the research for my script that has been an on going process.
Thursday 7th January
I continued editing my advert, I added the black and white effect to all the scenes with the old woman, excluding the final scene after the magic has happened. I also added a black and white effect on to a scene showing the house she lives at - this effect takes place hallway through a panning shot, to do this I cut the shot at where I wanted, put on the effect and used a cross dissolve so that it faded into black and white. I also added the final title with our campaign slogan Put a smile on someone's face this Christmas and the John Lewis title. It some time and trial and error to get this right, I worked with another member of my group to ensure it was as close to the original as possible. We had open an image of the title used on the 2015 campaign Man on the Moon an copied that. I wrote down the exact requirements so that others in my group can copy it and we can all have the same title and have continuity. I continued on with my research, reading articles about people who have lived in airports.
